The Red Scout is a small Zoid. A really small Zoid. In fact, for a 'Stompy Robot' it's not very stompy at all. The cockpit is not suitable for large people! As the name suggests, this Zoid is for reconnaisance purposes. Its light and nimble frame is perfectly suited for swiftly traversing the most rugged of landscapes and is well suited for scouting missions. The Scout - like the Blitz Panther - has a jointed body and can contort into positions that would make most other Zoids wince. Because they are always cool, the Red Scout also sports a shoulder-mounted retractable booster for making quick escapes. This isn't a Zoid built to stand its ground. It retrieves all the information it can and makes its getaway pretty sharpish.

The Red Scout's only projectile weapon is a turreted beam cannon mounted to its chest. It's quite a high calibur but it's not going to win any fights alone. Combined with the Scout's ridiculous levels of manuerverability and its sharp claws, a good pilot can take down bigger Zoids if absolutely necessary.

The Zoid is covered with freeform, pointy-ended armour that - although will protect it from minor pummelling - has a more subtle primary purpose. The Armour scatters RADAR and other such sensor fields to make the Zoid very difficult to track. This enables it to get close to whatever it is tracking without fear of getting trodden on. The Red Scout posses some of the most advance sensor technology ever conceived: a varied sensor array is located in the tail, powerful transmitters and receivers in the ears. The Scout can record huge volumes of data on enemy movements and strategies and covertly stream the data back to HQ. A force equipped with a Red Scout will know of enemy movements as soon as they happen.
